The iconic Lambretta scooter, along with the Vespa transformed post-war Italy’s transport problems. Simple, cheap and relatively maintenance free and having the engine mounted directly against the rear wheel eliminating the need for messy chains, the scooter was the perfect vehicle for travelling through Italy’s narrow streets in style.
Here we have a silhouette of the Lambretta against the GB/RAF roundel. Both symbols of 60’s Mod culture.
