Progressing no more than several slightly different prototypes, the gullwinged C111 coupe was Mercedes short lived venture into using rotary engines.
This drawing was based off another drawing I had a commission for. The Clubman fronted 1275GT.

Originally conceived as a flat and an almost “art deco” / French 1930’s auto poster style (see below), this MX5 had extra detail added to give it a more real-world look and feel.

This was the first “proper” image I drew since I had my Affinity Designer software. As my favourite car, it was always going to be my first choice of a drawing. Like most of my drawings, they are based on a photograph and this was no exception.
