I’ve always enjoyed word and number puzzles, so eventually I started making a few of my own.
These are my original daily browser games — some word-based, some numerical, and all designed to be quick to pick up and just awkward enough to keep things interesting.
No advertising or tracking cookies are used. Where a game keeps scores, stats or progress, that information is stored locally in your browser.
Twen25ive
Five hidden words. Twenty-five letters. One daily grid.
Twen25ive is a daily 5×5 word puzzle. Five five-letter words are hidden across the grid, with their letters scattered amongst the other tiles.
A clue at the top hints at the day’s theme or category — occasionally rather cryptically. Find all five words while trying to preserve as many points as possible.
Hangram
Part Hangman. Part anagram. Entirely awkward.
Hangram is a daily word game in two stages. First, identify the letters of the hidden word using the virtual keyboard.
Once you’ve found them all, the second challenge begins: rearrange those letters into the original word before your remaining lives run out.
Sumbers
Pair the numbers. Hit the targets. Chase the perfect ten.
Sumbers is a daily number-pairing puzzle. Select pairs from the 4×4 grid whose products match the eight targets shown above.
Every number is used once. Correct pairings earn stars, mistakes can cost them, and a flawless solve earns the two-star bonus for a perfect score of 10.
Kazuri
Small puzzle. Overlapping products. Three daily levels.
Kazuri is a compact daily number puzzle built around overlapping multiplication targets. Use the target values to work out the hidden numbers shared between them.
There are three puzzles each day, with the later levels adding a little more mischief. Play against the clock in Challenge mode or take your time in Relaxed mode.
Balanced
Eight tiles. Four equations. Everything must balance.
Balanced is a daily equation puzzle. Place all eight numbered tiles into the blanks so that every equation is mathematically correct.
The puzzle only works when the whole board works together, so a number that looks perfect in one place may be needed somewhere else. Your solve time is recorded once everything balances.
