Weather Radar
A retro-inspired weather radar with real precipitation data, a sweeping green beam and a touch of old-fashioned electronic wizardry. Check whether there's rain heading your way — or just watch the radar sweep.
Welcome to my digital creative hub — a home for original puzzle games, artwork, cartoons, crosswords and assorted projects.
I’ve always enjoyed creating things, whether that means designing a game, drawing a racing car, building a crossword, or disappearing down some slightly unnecessary technical rabbit hole.
The site has grown over the years, but the idea is still much the same: create things I enjoy, put them somewhere tidy, and hopefully give other people something enjoyable to play, solve or look at.
Not everything needs a practical purpose. Sometimes an idea pops into my head, curiosity takes over, and a perfectly innocent afternoon disappears into a completely unnecessary project.
Here are a few of those little distractions.
A retro-inspired weather radar with real precipitation data, a sweeping green beam and a touch of old-fashioned electronic wizardry. Check whether there's rain heading your way — or just watch the radar sweep.
A nostalgic tribute to the days when television occasionally stopped broadcasting programmes. Inspired by the classic BBC test card, complete with a working clock. No need to adjust your set.
Ever wondered exactly how much of the year has disappeared? Watch the seconds tick away on a gloriously unnecessary progress meter, accurate to six decimal places. Time flies — now you can watch it happen.
A growing collection of original browser-based puzzle games, including Twen25ive, Hangram, Sumbers, Kazuri and Balanced.
They’re designed to be quick to pick up, easy to play on desktop or mobile, and just difficult enough to make you mutter at the screen occasionally.
A collection of automotive artwork, illustrations and other visual projects.
Cars feature quite heavily — unsurprisingly — but there’s also a mixture of other drawings and assorted pieces created over the years.
My black-and-white Viking cartoon series, with more than 40 episodes of seafaring incompetence, questionable navigation and other entirely avoidable disasters.
I also create traditional cryptic crosswords and other puzzle ideas, usually with far too much attention paid to clue wording, grid symmetry and whether I’ve used a particular word recently.
More of these will appear here over time.
